Behind the Words

I loved the perpendiculars in this scene. Taken on a walk I did in a Woodland in Kent

Have you noticed how words don’t always reflect what is in the mind? Focussing only on the words and forgetting the voice with all its modulation, tone and cadence, can be problematic. Often what is really being communicated is found in the hidden crevices of the voice. A special kind of listening is needed to hear it.

They lay where they Fell

We hiked through a beautiful woodland on Sunday. It was cold and muddy, but immensely enjoyable. Coming to the end of the walk, darkness and mystery slowly descended on the woodland and I wondered how many eyes were focussed on us. I loved this little scene. I just had to capture it.

Winter

Trees are spiky and bare, crows waddle through misty fields, gardens are all put to rest, scarves and jackets donned and the restful hum of heating fills our homes. No doubt, Winter has arrived.
