There are times when beauty is shy and hesitates until it can trust the worthiness of the beholder…Beyond the traffic of voyeuristic seeing, beauty waits until the patience and depth of a gaze are refined enough to engage and discover it.

My name is Don Scrooby and I live in The United Kingdom. I feel that more than anything else, nature, and the objective things around us, convey a speech and a message we always need to listen to and follow. This kind of listening is life-giving and there is a certain form spirituality about it.
In this blog, through the the photographic image and accompanying words, I’ve tried to share this experience as simply as I can. There is an underlying beauty in nature we all need to see and experience, especially in this day and age as we struggle to save our planet.
Most of my shots are taken with a Fujifilm XT100 camera and my Iphone. I’m no professional Photographer, but I do enjoy outdoor walks with my simple gear trying to capture what I see and experience.

How extraordinary, or is it just my imagination. Your image looks like the ominous cloud cover is pouring into the hedge of trees to the right side of the frame (or vice versa).

You’re right Vicki. Have only seen that now that you have drawn my attention to it. Thanks for that and thank you for your comment.

A very capricious-looking sky – great capture.

Thank you, Lynette. Yes, I was taken with the sky. The cloud bank was at its lowest I’ve seen. Almost a little oppressive.

Thanks Dan. I was walking home when I took the shot. It felt as if the sky was pushing down on me.
