To ponder upon distance and spaciousness speaks into the freedom we all yearn for, which surely is the birthright of all humanity. I felt a sense of freedom and exhilaration here as I gazed out to the misty horizon and felt the expansiveness of the sky above me.
A beautiful capture and reflection Don. Thank you for bring peace and expansiveness in our day. 💛

Dear Don
Scott learned photography from Ponting (the expedition’s official photographer) on their expedition to the South Pole. He reflected quite a lot about how to document space and distance with photography. Some of his pictures radiate perfectly well the space and distances in Polar regions.
You caught this quite well in your picture too.
Have a happy Sunday
