CDC Designs specializes in interior design of model homes, sales environments, apartment communities and clubhouses. With over 70 employees occupying approximately 10, 400 square feet of office space, the goal was to design an energetic and creative environment that promotes both connectivity and productivity. Upon entering the lobby, one can immediately sense the firm’s enthusiasm. Utilizing the abundant natural light available in its sunny Southern California location and employing the vibrant colors of CDC’s branding, the space is both welcoming and functional. White oak hardwood flooring creates a media enclosure blending seamlessly into the stair wall and providing a canvas for the company logo. A self-serve welcome station for visitors allows for a larger seating area featuring a custom-fit sectional, Ogetti Orgo table collection and an oversized Cerno floor lamp complemented with fine art and anchored with a hanging geometric iron light fixture.

On the second floor mezzanine, the firm’s tagline and graphic logo elements have been artfully applied in backlit white lacquer and acrylic. Lounge seating with a tech table where guests can plug in their devices creates an open and connected space. The conference room has integrated technology and a custom white oak and quartz table that serves as the perfect neutral backdrop for color and material presentations. The kitchen/break room includes a Wi-Fi bar, three refrigerators and a separate drink cooler, ice machine and extra-large concrete communal dining table. Finding yet another way to incorporate the firm’s branding into the office design, the logo stripe graphic interpreted in colored Stone Source tiles have been applied to the break room wall. Expressive elements of the company’s spirited culture are also seen throughout the space in unique and playful signage, wall graphics and custom furnishings.
