Telecon Offices – Montreal
Imperatori Design were engaged by telecommunications company, Telecon, to design their offices located in Montreal, Canada.
By becoming the sole tenant of a historic building in the very coveted neighborhood of Mile End, where living and working are equally good, the telecommunications industry giant seized the opportunity to rethink the office model. The objective was to support the company’s culture of innovation, collaboration and agility. The challenge was met by the team of designers, who drew their inspiration from the particular architectural features of the building: they restored the wooden ceilings, the typically paned windows, the original uncovered pipes, the brick and the concrete painted in white, etc. They created a convivial and dynamic, airy and inspiring workspace, which is both vintage and avant-garde. The ecosystem they provided includes working and meeting zones, each one different from the other. They even added a loggia with access to the outside, recalling the feeling of home and well-being. A vegetation path organized in vertical partitions connects the various islands. The central staircase gathers everything together and serves as a platform on team meetings days. The Telecon work environment embodies the creative freedom felt throughout the project and the balance between loft architecture, rustic and refined design.
