L’Oréal Offices – Kyiv
TABOORET struck a balance between elegance and industrial to complete the L’Oréal offices in Kyiv, Ukraine.
Chief designer and founder of the TABOORET studio Katerina Churina created the interior for the innovative and eco-friendly office for L’Oréal Ukraine in the center of Kyiv.
This is not just an office, but a new home for L’Oréal, а workforce ecosystem that not only reflects the brand’s character and values but also increases productivity, inspires fresh ideas in the beauty industry.
The harmonious combination of technology and aesthetics creates a unique creative environment where work and leisure are equally appropriate.
The office is located in the very center of Kyiv in a modern class “A” business center. The building is LEED Gold certified, demonstrating the most efficient and sustainable design and construction practices.
Designer Katerina Churina was inspired by L’Oréal philosophy, which is reflected in every detail of the office, from layout to construction. The design concept is based on four key elements: beauty, innovation, care for employees and sustainable development.
The minimalist interior was decided to decorate in soft colors with with natural shades dominating.
The office life of the leading Beauty Tech company is based on the Activity Based Working concept, which implies that each employee can choose a place to work. Therefore, Katerina and her team faced the task of creating a multifunctional space with many work areas and nooks for relaxation.
The main part of the room is a spacious open-space with large tables and computers. But this is far from the only place where employees can work.
The heart of the office and its most attractive area is the greenhouse. It is located in the center of the working space near the panoramic windows. Here, the bustling life of the metropolis outside the window meets a calm and harmonious atmosphere inside the building. Green plants improve the microclimate and create a feeling of unhurriedness and unity with nature. The effect is enhanced by the imitation of birdsong, which sounds from the speakers.
Next to the greenhouse, there is a library equipped with additional noise insulation so that no one distracts employees from important business or leisure. Another original area is the silence room, where one can meditate and relax after active work. For game lovers, the office also has a room with a game console.
Katerina tried to design the office in such a way as to make communication between employees as efficient as possible. Therefore, there are also thought-out areas for teamwork in the room: meeting rooms, a spacious auditorium, a kitchen-dining room with a large table. The digital query kiosk makes the interaction with the team on technical issues quick and easy.
The entire office is equipped with state-of-the-art office equipment and the 6th generation of WiFi.
This design project is a new look at the workspace, taking into account the norms and requirements of our time. Conceptual design solutions are implemented taking into account the COVID-19 rules and restrictions. An inclusive design ensures the comfort and security of an office where everyone feels valued and heard.
