Kinecta Offices – Los Angeles
Worksmart Design delivered a dynamic office space with various types of work and play for employees of Kinecta in Los Angeles, California.
Kinecta is one of the largest and premier federal credit unions in the U.S. and has expanded its operations to a 110,000 SF office space. Situated in the thriving El Segundo, CA area positions the company in an authentically California landscape which the new office celebrates as its walls are adorned with large graphics, a connection to Howard Hughes.
Open and inviting lounges, state-of-the-art kitchen, flexible work modes, outdoor patios, upgraded restrooms and carefully curated landscaping awaited team members as they trickle back into the office. One of the features of the building includes a gym that welcomes all levels of experience and enthusiasm. Employees are able to pour their own refreshments in the Kantina and spill over their conversations onto the outdoor patio outfitted with relaxed outdoor furniture and BBQs.
Because of the global challenges of the past year, we had to pivot and explore various modifications including layout changes to allow for more space between seats, ways to incorporate touchless surfaces, reduce the amount of furniture within the space, and implement staggered work schedules when the staff did return to work. It was extremely important for the staff to come back to a brand new environment that was clean, comfortable, and refreshed.
