COI Showroom and Offices – Seattle
JPC Architects designed the welcoming environment for the COI showroom and offices, a furniture dealer located in Seattle, Washington.
The primary goal for the COI Showroom project was to provide a welcoming environment that focused on a logical, yet flexible client path to display as many product offerings as possible, in an intentional and cohesive way. The dedicated “showroom gallery” can be transformed regularly based on new products or to accommodate specific mock-ups for clients, while the working showroom provides room for staff to sit and operate in the furniture products on display.
The showroom and working staff areas merge at the “knuckle” of the space – the centralized open kitchen. COI is known for their warm, inviting, and casual culture, so this centralized kitchen was designed to allow clients to experience that firsthand. As with the rest of the space, the kitchen can be adapted to changing needs, from daily coffee and casual client meetings to large, catered events. Lighting was another significant aspect within this space. Retail track lighting with multiple lens attachments were chosen to allow for adaptability of light quality, levels, and positioning. This welcoming and flexible showroom space is a direct reflection of COI and their company culture.
