Nespresso’s Stockholm Offices
Worldwide espresso company Nespresso added an office in Stockholm with the help of design firm MER.
“During a very expansive phase in 2010, Nespresso needed to establish an office in Stockholm that should work both as their headquarters in Sweden and provide customer support for the whole of Scandinavia. The company quickly evolved from 7 employees to over 50, and required a new office space. MER analyzed their needs and helped to find their new location in Stockholm, in a listed building from the sixties.
MER developed the office’s character and design from the existing elements in the building. The exposed concrete walls and the red radiators set the tone for the interiors. The office’s two functions naturally led to two wings around a courtyard. On one side, an open office for the call center, on the other side, offices for the administration and direction. In the middle, both offices meet, in the kitchen, conference room and showroom.”
