Cushman & Wakefield Offices – Berlin
Cushman & Wakefield‘s in-house interior design team created a new modern working environment for their real estate consultancy firm’s new offices located in Berlin, Germany.
And created an inspiring “urban jungle” that offers many opportunities for collaboration and at the same time is a showcase for their own capabilities.
The Berlin team of the real estate consultancy firm Cushman & Wakefield required more space – for more exchange of view and more focus and concentration, for creativity and for welcoming and advising clients appropriately. The new office should be prestigious, but also foster identification for their own employees. Accordingly, the new space is fresh, modern, high-quality and, above all, versatile.
Using their own design strengths
Cushman & Wakefield handled the brainstorming, planning, design and implementation entirely in-house. The in-house interior design team developed the layout and appearance of the new spaces and the workplace concept – from the rough structure and the choice of materials to the smallest detail. There are advantages to being able to design your own office. You know the processes, how to work together and how to communicate with clients.Lively and versatile
The new spaces are correspondingly lively and versatile. Very different work areas have been integrated over two storeys. Lounge, modern team zones, open meeting areas, think tanks and creative spaces for brainstorming, a quiet room with sofa, recliner and acoustic curtain – employees can choose between different settings depending on their work phase. The whole design is brought together by small, matching accessories and good sustainable materials and pieces of furniture. The interior design team deliberately juxtaposed different textures and combined colourful and minimalist elements.Sustainable “Urban Jungle”
The highlight, however, is the plethora of design details. It is no coincidence that motifs of giraffes, elephants and kangaroos are integrated everywhere and the meeting rooms are named after animals. The designers have integrated the immediate neighbourhood – as the office directly overlooks Berlin’s Tiergarten zoo. The deliberately designed “Urban Jungle” is tangibly complemented by relaxed, sustainable details. In the meeting rooms, there are plant shelves that look so casual, as if someone is always tending or watering them as they pass by. They can be moved around and thus change the structure of the room spontaneously. Design and practicality go hand in hand here.Showroom for own services
The new office has not only become a creative workspace, but also serves as a showcase – for the company’s own services, as well as for selected manufacturers, suppliers and clients. Design options and material selection can thus be illustrated and discussed in a “real life” setting.
